Sanderson Partnered with Måhsa for the Aotearoa Art Fair

The Sanderson team were delighted to partner with Måhsa for the Aotearoa Art Fair 2026. We have long admired the Måhsa label so it felt incredibly special for our team to wear the designer’s contemporary cotton voile dresses for the opening night. Made bespoke, the style of dress the team wore was an iteration of the ‘Preacher Crop’ in: White Swiss Dot, Black Voile and Jungle Green. First released 10 years ago, this dress is a simple, elegant design that is both whimsical and timeless.

Måhsa’s ethos of design resonates with us here at the gallery; with the intent to make ‘everyday life feel more meaningful and romantic.'

Mahsa Willis describes her designs as “a love letter to women who live with open hearts and feel things truly and tenderly”  - a sentiment that runs deeply within the Sanderson team. Each of her designs are lovingly made here in Aotearoa using natural fibres, a quality you can feel in the softness and production of each piece.

Founded in 2015, Måhsa is an evolving reflection of Mahsa Willis’ experience of the beauty and imperfection of life. Instead of following the traditional seasonal fashion industry model, collections are released as “Moods” that speak of the course of Mahsa’s own life and the collective cultural experience of the moment.

Sanderson are very grateful to Mahsa and her team for their generosity and collaboration throughout the fair. It was a pleasure to celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand design - thank you for the beautiful dresses, which we will treasure for years to come ♥︎

‘We create clothes for the modern woman; timeless, well-made, sustainably sourced garments that nod to the style of inspirational muses and evoke a sense of nostalgia and romance – made right here in Aotearoa, for the world.’ – Mahsa Willis
