Flooding large cold-press paper with pigment for days or weeks, she lets evaporation dictate the resulting forms and meaning. As the water recedes, remaining pigments shape into dry-edged rinds, stained tidelines, and unpredictable bodies—at times soft and dream-heavy, but always on the edge of waking, bruising, or turning.
Recent shows include 2001 Portions – George Fraser Gallery Auckland, 2001 Banned Practice – Newcall Tower Building curated by Anthony Byrt, 2001 Defused – Toshiba Towers curated by Lisa Divett + Louise Poppelwell, 1999 Dish – Brava Restaurant Wellington, 1998 BarFlySpot – Valve Bar Wellington, 1995 Telecom Art Award – Finalist Northland Region. Pryor is currently studying at The Elam School of Fine Arts and works as a picture framer at El Framo in Tāmaki Makaurau.
