Sanderson wishes to thank and acknowledge Gordon Harris and Caitlyn Snell for sponsoring and supporting the gallery's annual Emerging Artist exhibition 2025.
Working with brands and businesses that align with our values is always a huge honour. Their generosity and commitment to supporting artists at an early career level helps to foster a collaborative and encouraging culture within our arts community.
Gordon Harris graciously awarded each artist who showed their work in Sanderson’s Emerging Artist exhibition a voucher for their iconic art supplies store, supporting them with the costs of materials for their continuing art practices.
Gordan Harris celebrates 50 years in business in this year. The company has grown to become Aotearoa’s largest and best known art supplies specialist. Their selection of high quality products and materials have been inspiring artists and supporting their practices in Aotearoa for five decades – so thank you so much to the team at Gordon Harris.
Caitlyn Snell kindly gifted the gallery with beautiful hair accessories to wear for the opening evening. These ethically produced and sustainably crafted pieces are handmade from home in Aotearoa. Snell's thoughtful designs are made from vintage/repurposed fabrics, which will often end up in landfill instead of being utilised. Made to last, Snell's pieces allow you to invest in something that can be worn repeatedly, promoting sustainability and reducing overconsumption. A selection of Snell's pieces are available for sale at the gallery for a limited time.
The Emerging Artist exhibition is a highlight on Sanderson's calendar each year and with the support of wonderful businesses both big and small, we look forward to many more years celebrating artists at the beginning stage of their careers.
