Wi Taepa at Wairau Māori Art Gallery

Toka Tū honours the unwavering strength and resilience of leadership within the world of Māori Mahi Toi. Rooted in the philosophy of nurturing Māori artists, this exhibition celebrates those who have profoundly influenced generations through their dedicated contributions to art education, our arts community, and Māori artistic practice.

 

Artists in the exhibition include Sandy Adsett, Gabrielle Belz, June Grant, Alex Nathan, James Ormsby, Donn Ratana, Baye Riddell, Wi Taepa and Allen Wihongi.
