With a new year around the corner Sanderson are pleased to announce their membership with the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC).
GCC is an international membership organisation working to create an environmentally responsible art world.
The coalition’s primary target is to facilitate a reduction of the visual art sector’s global greenhouse gas emissions by a minimum of 50% by 2030 (in line with the Paris Agreement’s goal of keeping global warming to below 1.5°C), and promote zero-waste practices.
By becoming a member of the coalition we have pledged to halve our carbon emissions by 2030. Our focus on achieving this goal will be by tackling environmental impacts including shipping and art handling for exhibitions and art fairs, travel, and energy use in our buildings.
