Dutch surrounds his largely subjects with impossible frameworks, ambiguous machinery, and a general sense of busy-ness. Dutch's ample ability and mastery of screen printing techniques is wholly apparent here in the layers of detailed 'flying machines', each the effort of a separate screen.
