Making the Scene

Making the Scene presents the work of a group of emerging artists who have recently graduated from art school and are on the cusp of breaking into the elusive ‘scene.’ This is an opportunity to view a curated selection of work from an upcoming generation of New Zealand contemporary artists.

Each artist will be given a section of the gallery to work with, providing a suite of work that encapsulates part of their practice. Since the work is not produced to fit a ‘theme’ there will be diversity in the messages delivered across the exhibition. This allows Making the Scene to act as a forum for each artist to authentically express their practice to an audience.
