Kāryn Taylor’s Time. Space. Existence. is an installation-based project that challenges the viewer’s sense of both time and space through optical quirks and implicit associations.
Her time-based projections access the mysteries of vitalism, making the viewer not just an observer but an active participator in the manifestation of the work.
Responding to the specific gallery environment, Taylor positions visual elements carefully within the constructed space – but the vitality of the installation expands beyond site-specificity. This work will not be reduced to a particular location but responds to any environment within which it is appointed.
